the techlife blog and kicking it off in web technology

Alright I’m kicking it off now. This is the first post of the Techlife Blog, hopefully no regressions will be hit along the way. So there you have it. Let me post something really cool here. Ok so going quickly just wanted to add my $.02 to igoogle gadgets. I have a large concern with these, the Developers I don’t even know to work at Google, it’s a free deal for Google. Google then allows you the ability to feel you are crafting are making the gadget to embed on your website. However once you post it on your site like you see below, instantly you have become a marketing drone for everything but yourself. I’ll leave this on here for you to check it out.

Other than Google Ads that you get no revenue from, Google linking to your site as in people can now download their own copy of the gadget, and some obscure to me site called 30 min lunch break links through what you would think would be a title that you could put on the gadget without there even being kind of a steal of your thunder in trying to embed something that initially looked cool, but really feels like fly paper now. I just kinda feel it lacks the “I” in google and feels more like a usedbygoogle.com gadget. If someone thinks it’s cool to market for ultra cheap or free for a company that is doing well, than with that same mentality I guess you’ll freely tattoo usedbyGOOGLE.com on your forehead. Just eeks me that it isn’t more user customizable like open source would be. It’s cool though to see the different channels but gives you the YouTube advertise through me feel, which is not cool. Okay…take it easy
